Mark Bouchard serves as Manager, Environmental Health and Safety for LIAI.  He has overall responsibility for the development, implementation, and compliance of programs aimed to ensure the safe handling, control, and disposal of hazardous materials utilized in the research laboratories.  He also serves as the Institute's Radiation Safety Officer and Biosafety Officer.  

Prior to joining LIAI in 2005, Bouchard has worked over 15 years in the laboratory and EH&S fields.  He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from Boston University and as B.A. Degree in Zoology from the University of Maine.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
