Chrissy Carr serves as the Manager of the Office of Sponsored Research for the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. She has the overall responsibility for the supervision and management of the pre-award administration for all externally and internally funded research projects from application submission to award closeout.

With 10 years of experience, Carr possesses a broad knowledge base in all aspects of research administration, specializing in both pre and post-award administration.

Prior to joining LIAI in 2008, Carr had worked for San Diego State University Research Foundation in post award grant administration for 10 years. Carr is an active member of the Society of Research Administrators and the Association of Independent Research Institutes.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
