Melinda Diamond serves as LIAI's Director of Human Resources. She has overall responsibility for the development of policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, compensation, benefits, recruitment and selection, immigration, employee relations, and staff training and development.

Prior to joining LIAI in 2001, Diamond spent over ten years as a human resources professional in a nonprofit international health and development organization. She holds a Master's Degree in human resources management and a B.S. degree in business administration from National University.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
