As Purchasing Manager, Rory Griffin and his team control purchasing and shipping/receiving functions at LIAI. By working closely with both researchers and suppliers Griffin and his team form strategic alliances centered on the procurement of equipment, goods and services. As a purchasing manager, he has a unique understanding of the research at the Institute resulting from his former experience working in the lab.
 
Prior to joining LIAI in 2006, Griffin worked over 19 years in the laboratory and purchasing fields.  He holds a B.S. Degree in Biology from San Diego State University.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
