Patrick Ho joined LIAI in 2007 and oversees the intellectual property and business development activities of the Institute. He has more than ten years of experience in the life science industry. Until 2007, Mr. Ho was at Higgs, Fletcher, & Mack, LLP, one of San Diego’s oldest and largest law firm. Previously, he was at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, a non-profit research institution in La Jolla, CA and held positions at various biotechnology companies throughout the region. Mr. Ho holds a law degree and received his B.A. in biology from the University of San Diego.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
