Erin K. Righetti serves as Director of Development, directing new initiatves in an effort to establish a structure for effective, long-term fundraising   Erin oversees the Development Services function at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology, including foundation relations and implementation of fundraising programs and services.  She also leads special projects for External Relations including the Institute's website revision, donor database management, and education and outreach programs.

Erin has a history of working with non-profits and community organizations, and recently worked at UC San Diego for 10 years in Development, with valuable experience involved in their capital campaign, including feasibility study and campaign board cultivation.  She has received accolades for her community work, including certificates of appreciation from the City of San Diego, Pacific Beach Town Council, Congressman Brian Bilbray, former Assemblywoman Dede Alpert, and County Supervisor Pam Slater.  

Erin has a Bachelors Degree in Communications/Public Relations, a Masters Degree in Education with specialty in Educational Technology from San Diego State University, and a Professional Certificate in Fundraising and Development from UC San Diego.  She is a member of International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), and ATHENA.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
