Marcia Whitten

Marcia Whitten serves as the Senior Accounting Manager, directing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments.

Before joining La Jolla Institute in the fall of 2009, Marcia worked for a larger non-profit research organization for over 10 years in the Pacific Northwest, and before that worked for UCSD Medical Group.

Marcia has a Bachelors Degree in Finance from San Diego State University and Masters Degree in Business from the University of San Diego.

Dr. Kimishige Ishizaka served in the dual role of President and Scientific Director of LIAI until his retirement in 1996. He is currently President Emeritus of LIAI and also on the LIAI Board of Directors as a Director Emeritus.
