“There’s only one Immune Epitope Database for the whole immunology community, in fact for the entire world.  It is a key innovation tool and our anchor into a bioinformatics approach to solving diseases of the immune system and to designing new and better vaccines.” – Stephen Wilson, Ph.D

Steve Wilson serves as the Chief Technology Officer of LIAI. He is responsible for the Institute's information infrastructure and strategic planning of systems and initiatives in network/information systems, communications, and biotechnology. Working closely with executive management and directly with research faculty, Dr. Wilson is a key member of the administrative team as well as a leader in basic research initiatives at the Institute.

Before joining LIAI in 1997 as an NIH postdoctoral fellow, Wilson trained in basic medical research, lectured in medical microbiology, and was a network administrator at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine. He is Deputy Principal Investigator of the NIH's national Immune Epitope Database and Analysis Program, and holds a B.S.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
